Our Mission
Dancers for a Cause is an organization that brings together diverse individuals and organizations in the greater Colorado dance and arts community to support causes in need through fundraising initiatives and annual galas.
History
Our organization was founded in 2018 with a very specific purpose. A dancer in our community was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia and the community rallied to help this beloved individual in his fight with cancer. Though our initial gala had a specific focus, the scope of the organization’s vision quickly expanded. We felt that it was important to build on the enthusiastic sense of collaboration that had been created to officially establish what is now “Dancers for a Cause”. Our new organization’s wider scope looks to help a different cause in need each time we produce a production. We all know of someone who has been affected by a life-threatening illness, or impacted in a way that deserves the support of our beloved dance community. We aim to come together to raise awareness and support causes and individuals who need it. To do so, we have cultivated a team from different corners of the greater Denver community to create an inclusive organization of the community and for the community with a vision to effect change through dance.
